The red engine - "Peter"
2012 saw 'Peter' enter service at the Lymden Lodge Light Railway . This loco is a fully restored restored TMNR which has been totally rebuilt to include twin Bosch 24v motors, new axles and drive cogs in addition to a fine coat of new crimson lake livery.
The new loco is not so much a restoration as a total rebuild, with modern power systems and brakes, along with newly turned drives shafts, cogs, new chains, roller bearings and electronic power control with regenerative braking.
The name of 'Peter' is in celebration of the late Peter Dickinson, who was CME for the LLLR for many years and with whose inspiration and work the railway would not exist.
